There are perhaps 100,000 part-time and full-time marketers and sales people in this country today who sells one thing or the other. 90% of these marketers and sales people are doing what I called  Telling, they are only preoccupied with the slogans of; my products is good, my products is everywhere, you can get my products on social media platform, my products can do this, my products can do that, all this are mere Telling!

The only products that can survive by Telling are products that are well known by people, that they know very well, like phones, TVs, and the likes, even if your phones, and TVs are not well known to paying customers and he likes it, the best he can do for you is to put a call through to you, and I tell you, if you lack closing skills you cant get the sales.



Selling is an act; Selling has a process;  these are major reasons we have very few successful marketers and sales people in this country and majority of these  marketers and sales people are opting out, and those who are still in the career marketing and selling are doing one leg in, one leg out, and seriously in search for white collar job, they are frustrated. The frustration is not coming from inability to find paying customers alone, it is largely from inability to Unlock the paying customers need and match it with their products and services in other to get them permanently for their products and services.

This is a serious issue which need urgent attention especially as we are advocating for youths empowerment, SMEs, and so on, because, like I used to say, and will continue to say until I get result to my agitation, you can teach a youth any skill acquisitions of his choice, you can even go ahead and give him substantial amount of money to start the business he learnt, without teaching him how to sell the products, he will only last in the business for the period of 6 months to 2 year, and that is if he really love the business.

Digital marketing, e-mail blast, bulk sms, SEO, social media platform, these are not the right channel for an up coming entrepreneurs to sell their products and services, Yes! I agree with you, you will reach out to millions of people, but tell me, out of the millions, how many paying customers called? and out of the few that called, how many of them buy?

 I have a lot of cases of up coming entrepreneurs and businessmen and women exactly like this that I had handle, and some that am still handling right now, the situation had gone so bad that those people in question are already about to throw in the towel...the solution is door to door, face to face, mouth to mouth  marketing and selling in other for you to handle all the paying customers and important prospects objections.
