I always imagined that great marketers and sales people were born with the gift of the gab. I graduated out of university with economics degree, and the only job I could find at the time was in sales support. I was naturally recoil, but became more confident with people as I realised they wanted to listen to my unique expertise.
And now, I propound different kind of theories and strategies that make marketing and selling easier for both existing and up coming Marketers and sales people, business owners, and entrepreneurs, which I still sometimes find incredible! The truth is that anybody can become a great marketer and sales person: you only need to be trained and respect all that you have learnt by putting them into actions accordingly.
There is a sales syndrome known as "Paying Customer's Regret" that afflicts majority of those paying customers who have been given the hard sell by marketer or sales person who sells his product or service to them without their Need identification, after the excitement of being sold to is over, the paying customer realises that he has been railroaded to pay for what he do not Need, wear as he may need it, but the marketer or sales person out of inexperience sold to him.
A lot of Marketers and Sales people see SELLING as a continual battle, a mental wrestling match that they have to win by forcing the paying customer to pay for their products or services.
I must tell you this now, this result to Paying Customers Regret and so, it will automatically result to them leaving your business for others and spreading the bad experience they had with your products and services.
Quite frankly, great marketers and sales people spend their time finding out what it is that their paying customer wants, and then try as much as possible to match it with their product and services to the expectation.
