HANDLING OBJECTIONS AND REJECTIONS IS A KEY IN MARKETING AND SELLING!! 

In Marketing and Selling, one of the major reasons Entrepreneurs, Business men and women and even Marketers and Sales people, the people I refer to as the drivers of engine known as (Business) are not making sales is nothing but inability to handle OBJECTIONS and REJECTIONS.

Over 90% of Business men and women drop their viable businesses and ideas for white collar job after facing 2 to 5 objections and Rejections during the course of selling their ideas...almost the same percentage of Marketers and Sales persons drop their career as a Marketers and Sales persons because of
objections and rejections to even take  jobs below their level say, security or driving job.

One of my important prospect now a regular reader and follower of my "daily Marketing and Selling Tips" who is now working with one of the famous recruiting firm in Nigeria, called me two months ago precisely April, 2016. and told me that there is a serious challenge to get our youth to accept Marketing job...so, I was curious, then, I asked, "what is the issue?" he said, "if my company were given a mandate by our clients for jobs opening, out of every ten (10) opening, seven (7) will be for marketing and selling the other three (3) for other professionals...but I tell you by the time we deploy our qualified youth to occupy this marketing and selling post they  will reject it vehemently"...

...I just snigger and told him straight "it is due to the fear of Objection and Rejection nothing else".

Since, this is a serious problems...then; what is Objection? and what is Rejection?

REJECTION; I want to defined this by saying that Marketer and Sales person who will sell everybody is yet to be born...by implication, every marketers and sales people even if you are not into marketing...check yourself you have been rejected at some point in life...maybe by known or unknown person...that reminds me of one day like that at Eco Bank Allen, Ikeja, Lagos. I was still very new in marketing of in-tangible products (i.e. services) if am not mistaking 2008, a young lady (banker) embarrassed me "get out of my front" she said, I was very cold, but I did something that day which am proud off, I said, am so sorry and walk to the next person in the same banking hall. how did I do it? I was prepare to make it in the course of selling.

Rejection is a normal thing in selling...but I tell you, this happen only once out of every 50+ prospects you contacted.

OBJECTIONS; any prospect or client who did not give you Objection before paying for your product...will either start giving you problems because of the product or will never patronise you again...Note! 'Objection' is not 'Rejection'

Objection simply mean I want to know more, tell me more about that products and services, I need more reason why I should buy your product when I have alternative to that same products, e.g. give me good reason I should buy your BlackBerry Phone when I have apple phone which I think it's better off. This is what I called objection and it's not rejection.
