WHAT WE DO INSTEAD OF ADVERTISING - AND WHY IT WORKS...
- While I've dabbled in some online ads like Facebook, Twitter...and LinkedIn
- I've built my business without any advertising whatsoever. So, how did I do it?
- How do I let people know that FactFocus Akkotian exists?
- What have I done to Attract and grow PAYING CUSTOMERS so far this year 2015?
I PRACTICE WHAT I PREACH
Here's a list of the activities I do on a regular basis to build credibility, get referrals and grow my business – most of which you can do, too.
(A). Daily
Okay, almost every day – I spend time reading my industry blogs, attending online and offline Training, reading different books from different Authors and articles in line with my industry and sharing them with my audience (via Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+, and face to face).
I use two primary tools - Feedly to curate the blogs and Buffer to schedule outgoing updates. This activity does two things:
(1) It allows me to stay on top of the industry, keeping me up to date with the latest trends and news that affect my business and the business of my clients/partners, and
(2) it helps those I'm connected with to stay up to date AND to see me as an “expert.”
(B). Weekly
Each week, I wrote 2-3 blog posts on the FactFocus Akkotian blog. These range in topic, from running a successful business to being a Marketing and Sales expert, and to SEO tips to sales and marketing processes, and everything in between. While sharing the knowledge of others, blogging allows me to position myself and my company as knowledgeable to another degree. It's one thing to "know" what's going on, and it's another thing to "practice" what you know.
More recently, I've also begun the production of two of my books and already advertising them on my blog and through the LinkedIn, google+ platform and the likes, in a few instances, this has multiplied the reach of my posts.
(C). As Important , As Needed
There are few things that aren't as consistent, but that have helped catapult my business, and ultimately sales.
“Helping” instead of “Selling” – While I've only officially used this phrase in the last year or so, it's been a culmination of what I've practiced for at least the few years of FactFocus Akkotian, and at the core of my life for much longer. It comes down to this: when you genuinely want to help, and you do whatever you can to improve the lives and businesses of others, it only improves your own situation.
In The Go-Giver, the first Law of Stratospheric Success is The Law of Value: “Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.” And this is SO true – in life and business.
SO, WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THIS INFORMATION?
